First, the rule that matters most

A patch is for a spot that has come to a head — a whitehead, or a bump that is clearly surfacing. Deep, hard, painful bumps under the skin are not a patch job; there is nothing at the surface for hydrocolloid to absorb. Those are a dermatologist's call.

Zone by zone

Spot Dots cover every zone today. The zone-shaped patches land in November — join the list for yours.

Chin & jaw

The zone that comes back monthly. Spots cluster along the jawline and the point of the chin, and they tend to be bigger.

Patch nowSpot Dots — the largest dot in the box
WearOvernight, 6+ hours
TipChin spots are the ones you touch most. Patch it before you pick it.

November: The Chin Patch — one patch covers the whole zone.

Nose

Small whiteheads on the sides and tip. Blackheads live here too — and those are not a patch job. Hydrocolloid absorbs fluid; it does not pull plugs out of pores.

Patch nowSpot Dots — the smallest dot, one per spot
WearOvernight. Press twice; the nose bends.
TipDry the sides of the nose properly first — that's where patches slide.

November: The Nose Patch.

Forehead & hairline

Sweat, hats, helmets and hair product. Spots show up in small clusters along the hairline and between the brows.

Patch nowSpot Dots — small or medium, one per spot
WearOvernight, or under a cap during the day
TipKeep conditioner and hair product off the hairline; rinse your forehead last in the shower.

November: The Forehead Patch.

Cheeks

Phone screens, pillowcases, chin straps. Cheek spots are usually single and slower to come to a head.

Patch nowSpot Dots — medium or large dot
WearOvernight; under makeup during the day
TipWipe your phone. Change the pillowcase. Then patch.

Spot Dots stay the cheek patch — no zone version planned.

How long, and when to peel

0s

Clean, dry skin

No moisturizer, serum or sunscreen under the patch. Anything slippery under it and it won't stay put.

10s

Press and hold

Pick the dot that just covers the spot. Press for ten seconds with a dry finger.

6h+

Leave it alone

Six hours minimum. Overnight is the easy version. Peeling early to check is the most common mistake.

AM

Peel when white

The center turns white — that's absorbed fluid. Peel gently, toss it. If the spot is still raised, fresh patch. Never reuse one.

The white dome, explained

Hydrocolloid absorbs fluid and swells into a soft gel — that's the white. It means the patch did its job. A patch that's still clear after a full night usually means there wasn't much to absorb: the spot wasn't ready, or it's the deep kind a patch doesn't help.

Day, night, work, gym

Day

Under makeup

Patch first, then makeup around it. Powder over the edge is fine; liquid on top makes it lift.

Work

Hard hat, heat, sweat

The matte finish reads as skin. Press it again after the first thirty seconds of sweating. Swap it after the shift.

Gym

Through a workout

Wear it. Replace it after the shower — a wet patch has done what it can.

Night

Best window

Eight hours, no touching, no makeup. Most people see the biggest difference here.

Five ways to waste a patch

Moisturizer under itIt slides off by 2am. Bare skin only.
Peeling at hour twoNothing has happened yet. Give it six.
Reusing oneOnce it's white it's full. Fresh dot.
Patching a deep bumpNothing at the surface to absorb. That's a dermatologist question, not a patch question.
Picking firstA picked spot leaks and scabs; a patch on an unpicked spot just does its job. Patch before you touch.

One box covers the whole map
